FINAL REFLECTION
1. What have i learnt in this module ?
Through the study of this module, I have mastered the basic knowledge of design, including design elements and principles. For example, principles such as balance, repetition, emphasis, and harmony have taught me how to organize and coordinate visual elements to create more engaging and expressive work. In Task 1, through a series of clear and concrete examples, I gained a deeper understanding of these concepts and was able to identify their use in actual works of art.
In addition, in Task 2, I learned and practiced the methods of visual analysis. This process is divided into three stages: observation, analysis and interpretation. Through the analytical structure of this system, I not only improve my ability to observe details, but also understand the design choices made by artists in their works from a more professional perspective. This not only enriches my artistic vision, but also improves my critical thinking ability.
In Task 3, I tried to incorporate my favorite design elements into my personal work creation. By referring to and borrowing from the excellent designs of others, and combining my own creativity, I completed the final work with personal characteristics. This process greatly improved my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical creation, and also enhanced my design confidence.
2. What did i enjoy the most ?
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the learning and creative process of exploring each task. Each stage not only deepened my understanding of design theory, but also improved my practical operation ability. Among them, my favorite task is the third task, because it is the process of transforming my sketches into a complete work of art. This link allows me to truly appreciate the creative fun from concept to finished product. The sense of accomplishment that comes from looking at a simple initial sketch and then, through constant refinement of details, adjustment of composition and color, finally presenting a complete work of art gives me great satisfaction. The whole process not only trained my aesthetic ability and design skills, but also made me more confident in expressing my creativity and ideas.
3. What have i learnt about myself through this module ?
Through this module of learning and exploration,
Finding the delicate details and rich elements in the works can always trigger my deeper observation and thinking, and help me understand the thoughts and skills of the artists in the creation process. At the same time, these works also inspired me to use bright colors and vibrant design elements more boldly in my own design, trying to convey positive emotions and ideas. Through appreciation and analysis of these energetic works, I have more clearly defined the direction and style of my future creation, hoping to bring positive energy and beautiful feelings to the audience through my works.
4. What has changed and what has not in my learning journey ?
I found that I became more patient in my creation and paid particular attention to the details, which made my work richer and more complete. At the same time, when I look at other designers' work, I can understand how they apply design principles such as balance, contrast and unity, learn from them and apply them to my own creations. However, some aspects have not changed, for example, I still rely on intuition in the early stage of creation, and lack of systematic preliminary research and story planning. In the future, I hope to invest more time in the concept stage, so that the work not only has visual appeal, but also has deeper connotation and expression.
5. What are my aspirations ?
My desire is to improve my design ability and create works that are not only aesthetically detailed, but also full of emotion and story. I want to achieve a more systematic creative process, with clear themes and ideas early on, rather than just relying on intuition. I hope to improve the overall expression of the work, and make the design more meaningful and appealing through in-depth research and thinking.
