FEEDBACK
WEEK9:
My initial layout for the project was approved and I was allowed to further refine the layout.
WEEK10:
The prescribed letter size was not followed when the font was created, which made the overall visual effect inconsistent. To solve this problem, I will continue to focus on the creation and adjustment of lowercase letters, numbers, and punctuation. The goal of this stage is to ensure that each letter and symbol matches the design requirements in style and size, laying a solid foundation for subsequent work on the font.
WEEK11:
Heading into week 11, the issue of the size of lowercase letters remains and requires special attention. The size of lowercase letters must be consistent compared to uppercase letters, which is a key requirement because uniform letter sizes improve the overall beauty and readability of the font. Therefore, this week's task will focus on adjusting the size of lowercase letters to ensure that they align with uppercase letters. At the same time, I will continue to polish and optimize other details of the font.
WEEK12:public holiday.
Week13:can proceed to final compilation

REFLECTION
EXPERIENCE :
Overall, the process of making typefaces is both challenging and fun. I had the opportunity to incorporate my favorite elements and styles into the design, creating a complete set of fonts, including upper and lower case letters, numbers, and some necessary punctuation marks. This task requires a great deal of patience and meticulous work, as it takes a considerable amount of time to complete the entire font set. In addition, as fonts are imported into FontForge, they are adjusted one by one to ensure the accuracy of each character.
OBSERVATION:
I take a lot of design inspiration from it, especially by studying the work of other designers. All of them provide important reference and inspiration for my design. Through observing other people's works and color application, I gradually formed the awareness and application of color.

FINDINGS :

Before completing the task, I realized that I needed to output more typography and color schemes in advance to ensure that the work was refined and unified. In addition, I also found that when I adjusted the width and size of the font, I was often not careful enough, which caused me to spend extra time in correction and redo. However, through this process, I have realized the importance of details in design, and I am determined to pay more attention to these aspects of detail control in future work.

FUTHER READING
《Grid Systems in Graphic Design》- Josef Müller-Brockmann
The book occupies a pivotal position in the field of typography and graphic design. This book provides a comprehensive and in-depth look at the theory and practice of grid systems, revealing their central role in organizing information and enhancing design beauty.

From the historical background, the origin of grid system can be traced back to the field of ancient architecture and design. With the development of The Times, it gradually emerged in graphic design. The author delves deeply into the evolution of grid systems in different historical periods, showing its development from simple layout planning to complex design systems.

Many types of grid structures are detailed in the book. As the most basic form, single-column grid has the characteristics of simplicity and clarity, which is suitable for some design scenes that need to highlight the key point and concise layout. Multi-column grid plays an important role in dealing with more complex information, it can effectively classify and organize the content, so that the page presents a rich and orderly visual effect. The modular grid is to push the grid system to a new height, by dividing the grid into multiple independent modules, designers can flexibly combine and arrange according to different needs, bringing more possibilities for design.

In practical application, the author shows the concrete application of grid system in books, magazines, advertisements and web design through a large number of cases. For example, in book design, grid systems can help designers rationally arrange text, pictures and page numbers, making the page layout more regular and beautiful, while improving the reading experience. In magazine design, the grid system can be divided according to different content blocks, so that the information is more clear and orderly, and enhance the visual appeal. The advertising design uses the grid system to highlight the product characteristics and brand image, and attracts the attention of consumers through clever layout and typography. For web design, the grid system can not only optimize the layout of the page, but also achieve a responsive design, ensuring a good visual effect on different devices.
